Deborah Jones
BVSc

Debbie has been a veterinarian for over 30 years and has worked mostly in London or Auckland. She lives in an apartment in central Auckland.  Debbie has a very shy rescue cat called Moth who only has three legs. Moth was a badly beaten SPCA cat. She had to amputate one of her hindlegs as it was in so many pieces.  Moth came home with Debbie to recover and learn to walk again and luckily for her, she never went back to the SPCA.  Moth is named after a fairy in Shakespeare’s Mid Summer Nights Dream. The other fairies are Cobweb, Mustardseed and Peaseblossum, so she has three more cats names ready!

Outside of work Debbie loves books, film – addicted to Auckland film festival every year; theatre, travel and obviously Shakespeare!
